How EPL suspension hurt Manchester United top 4 and trophy chances

England Football Association and governing bodies have officially shutdown Premier League(PL) till April 4th, 2020 after their meeting on Friday’s afternoon due to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Europe, especially England after Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta and Callum Hudson-Odoi were both tested positive for the virus.

FA chief Greg Clarke has warned the Premier League that the season may be incomplete

Reports in England also revealed that FA chairman Greg Clarke has told Premier League chiefs that the domestic season will not be completed due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to DailyMail UK. 

Clarke said that April 4th, 2020 date already looks unstable and that the league domestic season will not be complete and the premier league season will resume by September to be able to combat coronavirus spread, according to The Times UK reports. 

Liverpool are reportedly set to be confirmed champions if the Premier League season is axed

The news is a good news for Liverpool and their fans as they are to be handed their first ever premier league title if the season end due to coronavirus crisis.

Jurgen Kloop’s Liverpool are just two wins away to claimed the EPL 2019-20 trophy after leading the champions, Manchester City with 25points.

If the season shutdown because of coronavirus, the Reds will be crowned the champions. According to analysis from DailyMail UK, Liverpool will be given Premier League if EPL season is shutdown.

Broadcasters may look to recoup some of the huge TV money due to a breach of contract

But in other way round, the news of shutting down premier league season and all England domestic league is a sad news for Manchester United fans as they won’t be able to claim England Football League Trophy(FA Cup) and also finish above Chelsea for UEFA Champions league qualification spot.

According the analysis after FA suspends all games in England till September and are set to shutdown the whole season, FA Cup will be axed and Manchester United who are in pole position to secure the FA Cup trophy due to their recent good form won’t be challenging for the FA Cup trophy.
